What is your service area?
Lone Star Materials offers full service and delivery within a 50-mile radius from our yard locations across Texas in Austin (Bluff Bend Drive and Smith Road), La Feria, Laredo, and San Antonio (S. Medina Street and Toepperwein Road).
How are your crews trained?
We train and certify all Lone Star Materials operators in-house, so they are prepared to safely deliver materials to your jobsite. We hold weekly training sessions on safety for all employees, and we even offer a safety incentive benefit program for our stockers and warehousemen.
What type of fleet do you have?
Like our fellow GMS companies, Lone Star Materials commands a delivery fleet of expertly maintained vehicles, including boom trucks, flatbed trucks, semi-tractors with trailers, portable forklifts, and an F-550 flatbed truck.
In total, the Lone Star Materials fleet includes some of the most innovative material handling equipment in central and southern Texas.
Is there a truck near me?
Lone Star Materials serves construction customers in big cities, small towns, and rural locations across central and southern Texas. Our fleet offers delivery service within ~50 miles of our yards, including after hours. So yes, chances are there is a truck near you!
Do you offer delivery outside of standard business hours?
Yes. If you need commercial construction jobsite delivery in central or south TX, before or after business hours, or on weekends, our crews can do that too. Lone Star Materials is dedicated to going the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.
Do you offer commercial deliveries?
Our expert staff are fully trained for delivery to commercial construction sites in central and south Texas. We can deliver your materials using walk ups, walk downs, and elevator roll-ins. Our delivery fleet is modern and well maintained, with the capacity to deliver your materials when and where you need them.
Do you perform site inspections?
Yes. Lone Star Materials regularly performs pre- and post-delivery inspections of jobsites to check safety, stocking conditions, equipment, and quality control.
Does Lone Star deliver to residential sites?
Yes. We use off-road drywall carts for sand and grass, and we can pre-deliver your drywall before your window installation if you need them. Lone Star Materials can also perform on-site delivery access evaluations.
Can you do a walk up, walk down, or hand up at a residential site?
Yes. For a small additional charge, our expert staff can provide this value-added service to residential construction customers across central and southern Texas.
Can you special order a product for me?
Yes. Lone Star Materials can order many specialty products like Fry Reglet aluminum trim, Armstrong® Axiom trim, EPS foam shapes, FRP panels, lead-lined board, and a variety of tools and fasteners. If you need an item that you don’t see at one of our yards or on the website, let us know and we’ll help get it for you.
Can you help me with my product warranty?
Absolutely! Our expert staff is happy to assist you with manufacturer warranty issues and manufacturer representation when necessary. At Lone Star Materials, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchases, and our service.
What types of steel framing do you carry?
Lone Star Materials stocks 25 gauge to 16 gauge steel framing in a variety of lengths. We also offer full manufacturer support for all technical and engineering aspects of our steel framing and accessories.
Is Lone Star Materials OSHA compliant?
Yes. We believe nothing is so important that it can’t be done safely. Lone Star Materials is committed to full compliance with OSHA and DOT laws and regulations, and we conduct regular jobsite visits to check for crew compliance.
Can I pick up an order myself at a yard?
Absolutely! Local construction customers can “will call” orders in advance, or they can visit our yards to speak directly with our expert staff about specific needs. If you don’t see the tool or product you need, we will work with you to special order it.
